Our basic level of cover is already included in the price. Damage Cover Products to reduce the standard damage liability fee (DLF) may be purchased at extra cost on certain vehicle categories, including Premium, Medium, Snow Cover and Unsealed Road Cover. There may be no cover in some circumstances even if Damage Cover products have been purchased. Other Services :
Navigational Unit and Child Seats. There are some toll roads which include an obligation to pay Roads and Maritime Services ABN 76 236 371 088 ("RMS") a Service Fee of $3.30 (inc GST) for each calendar day on which you use a toll road in addition to payment to RMS of the applicable tolls.
Restriction Of Use :
You have no cover for Damage or Third Party Loss in some circumstances even if You purchase Damage Cover Products. These are fully set out in the Terms and Conditions of Rental available at europcar.com.au and include Damage or Third Party Loss caused by inundation or immersion of the Vehicle in water, use of the Vehicle in any prohibited area and Overhead and Underbody Damage, including overhead contact to any part of the pantech or box section of a Commercial Vehicle. Driving the Vehicle on Unsealed Roads and above the Snow Line is never permitted unless You have purchased the appropriate cover at the Start of Rental and Off Road use is strictly prohibited. Europcar requires submission of the following documents :
Personal identity card or passport. Current address details, no P.O. box permitted. A driving licence valid in Austria, in Latin script, an European/or international driving licence in compination with a guilty national driving licence.
Deposit :
Payment of the deposit in cash is not permitted.
Minimum age :
18 years for lessees/drivers. A minimum age of 18 applies to drivers of all vehicle categories; the driver must have held his or her driving licence for at least 1 year. Exceptions apply in respect of the car category (Acriss Code) XTMR of vehicles, for which the driver’s required minimum age is 27.
Travel outside Austria :
The driver is advised to obtain written consent from Europcar.

CDW Coverage: Some rates could not include this coverage. In case it is included or purchased, all car groups have excess. Value will depend on car group. In Chile this coverage includes a limited third party liability until USD 20.000. Excess: In case of accident/own damages or third parties involved, excess surcharge value will depend on car group. Amounts will be between USD 300 to USD 1.000. Amounts are subject to change. Police Report Mandatory.
Declination of CDW Coverage: In case rate does not include CDW, passengers are allowed to decline CDW, USD 2.000 will be blocked plus guarantee to the credit card. A declination Statement has to be signed. If the amount requested can be covered by Credit Card for possible damages to own and third parties, CDW will be mandatory. Police statement also will be required in case of an accident or damages even if passenger declines CDW. Full damages will be charged to the credit card.
Other Excess: Roll Over or Turn Over excess, Total Loss, Car Theft an excess of approx. USD 1000 (inc VAT) will be charged even if the car is covered by CDW. Police Report Mandatory. Amount is subject to change.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): Provides cover against personal injury death, medical expenses. Cost USD 3.00 (inc VAT).
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI): SLI extends liability from USD 20.000 to USD 287.000. It covers third party damages and liability. It must be taken in addition to CDW. Cost USD 18.00 (inc VAT).
Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW): Eliminates excess to zero only for own damages. Third party responsibility still will have an excess. It must be taken in addition to CDW. Cost USD 12.00 per day (inc VAT). Only will be activated with the correspond Police Report.
Theft Waiver (THW): It eliminates excess to zero only in case of car theft. Cost USD 26.00 per day (inc VAT). Police Report Mandatory. Maximum days of charge will be 22 days.
SVALF Coverage :It eliminates the excess from USD 1.000 to zero in case of roll over. Cost USD 25 per day (inc VAT). Police Report Mandatory. Maximum days of charge will be 20 days.
WWI Coverage:Cover damages to windscreen, mirrors and cutting of tires resulting from a normal use of the vehicle. Does not cover wheels rim. Cost USD 15 per day (inc VAT). Police Report Mandatory. Maximum days of charge will be 10 days.
GO Zen Package: It includes: THW +SLI+SCDW+WWI. Rate must consider CDW, otherwise must be purchased separately. Driver must have at least 26 years. Not available for premium or luxury cars. USD 40 per day (inc VAT).
GO Zen Plus Package: It includes: THW+SLI+SCDW+WWI+PAI+SARA. Rate must consider CDW, otherwise must be purchased separately. Driver must have at least 26 years. Not available for premium or luxury. USD 55 per day (inc VAT).
Delivery / Collection :
It is only available at non-airport locations. It is upon request to reservations@europcar.cl with a valid credit card and expiration date except Full Credit reservation. Service available from Monday to Thursday between 10am and 05pm. Cost: USD 39.00 (inc VAT). Service and values is on request depending distance.
One-Way Rentals :
A) Domestic : Available for all locations, except cars rented in Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales wich they must be delivered in the same stations or only between them.
B) International : Not Allowed.
Guarantee:
Only Credit Card, no cash accepted. Card holder and owner should be the same as the reservation and renting driver. Amounts blocked on credit card will be between USD 600 and USD 1600. By this guarantee, renters accept a late charge as a result of any extra not included in rate.
Restriction Of Use :
Rentals initiated in any location at Santiago, a road surcharge will apply (Santiago Toll). USD 7,56 p/day plus tax. Cross border to Argentina only allowed. 7 days advanced reservations mandatory. Passengers must send to reservations@europcar.cl a photocopy of driver’s license,passport and a valid credit card number in order to prepare mandatory paperwork for both customs. If passenger does not send the information on time, EC Chile will not be responsible if they cannot cross border. Cost: 1 to 15 days outside Chile USD 150, 16 to 30 days USD 260 and 31 to 60 days USD 290 tax included. This amount includes an special coverage requested by Argentine Custom. In case of No show,the full value of permit will be charged. Changes only accepted before 48 working hours.This charge is pay on arrival only.
Snow chains:
ONLY allowed for 4WD vehicles and it is subject of availability.
Plate Numbers Restrictions:
In case by law or any Government Institution states that some plate numbers are unable to circulate some days of the week, Europcar Chile Replacements of car depend at availability.
Santiago Locations:
A surcharge will be applied (Santiago TOLL). It corresponds to USD 9.52 per day of rental (inc VAT). In some rates this surcharge could be included. Maximum days of charge will be 14 days.
Rental Agreement:
Rental Agreement which will be provided to customer at the pick-up station will be drafted in Spanish
Route Assistance/ Vehicle Recovery
Route assistance only includes mechanical issues in route, such as battery or tyre. It could be a cost associated depending assistance. Passengers will be delivered to a safe place or to another Europcar Station. Car replacement subject to availability and must be requested to the station. In case of accident the passenger will be fully responsible for any transportation or tow truck cost of the car to the Europcar Station. This service is limited by geographical distance or if the car is outside Chilean territory.
Damages or Accidents:
Damages or accident should be reported to a police station and present a statement to the nearest or pick up Europcar Station in order to activate CDW in 12 hours since the accident occurred. Police Statement is mandatory to activate any coverage. In case the police statement is not presented to Europcar Chile full values of damages to own and third parties involved will be charge to the customer credit card.

Driver Eligibility
All drivers must be over 25 years of age and have held a full driving license for at least 1 year.
Drivers aged between 21 and 25 years old to drive a rental car PROVIDED that they have held a full driving license for a minimum of 3 years. Such drivers are required to pay an additional charge of €10.00 per rental day.
Maximum driving age is generally 78 years old. Such drivers are required to pay an additional charge of €10.00 per rental day. Our station staff will decide if a driver is of sufficient health to be in control of a motor vehicle, and we reserve the right to refuse any rental on the grounds of ill-health.
Additional driver:
In case one person does not feel like doing all the driving, we have the provision to add up to two additional drivers on a rental agreement. An additional charge of €7.00 per rental day, per additional driver. Note - all drivers must meet the criteria described above for driver eligibility. All drivers, whether Main or Additional, regardless of age, are required to show their driving license to one of our staff before taking delivery of their car.
Insurance Cover
The daily rental price shown includes our standard insurance, as required by law, and also Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) which provides cover against repair costs relating to our vehicle in the event of any damage occurring. The hirer only pays the policy excess of €900 to €2500 (Dependant on group and model have taken). This cover excludes damage to tires, the windscreen or the oil-sump, for which the hirer remains responsible at all times. This level of insurance cover is standard with every rental and is sufficient for a hirer to legally drive the vehicle in Cyprus. Drivers have the option to increase their level of insurance cover if they so choose. Wheels and Windscreen Insurance Waiver (WWI) is offered for €6.00 per rental day, which increases the cover to include all parts of the vehicle, including tires, windscreen, and oil-sump. The policy excess still applies. This additional insurance must be selected at the start of the rental, and payment is taken locally prior to delivery of the vehicle. Alternatively, a number of protection packages are available to limit or to ZERO the liability. Drivers may choose our fully-comprehensive insurance policy, known as Full Protection (SEDW). From €12.00 per day, this option includes all the cover provided by WWI and additionally reduces the policy excess to € ZERO. Also included is of personal accident insurance (excluding Driver), underwritten by the Cyprus Hire Risk Pool. All additional insurances or protection packages must be selected at the start of the rental.
Insurance Limitations
Insurance limitations are clearly shown on the reverse of every rental contract issued. No insurance cover whatsoever is provided if a vehicle is driven into the occupied Northern Area of the island, if a vehicle is driven on an unsurfaced road, or if there is negligence on the part of the driver. Such negligence includes (but is not limited to) driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to adhere to road traffic regulations, failure to report an accident to the police, or intentionally trying to damage the vehicle. In any of these cases, the driver becomes responsible for the market value of our vehicle as well as recovery costs and any costs relating to third-party claims.
Fuel
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel. This is not included in the rental cost and must be paid for in advance at the start of the rental (charged at an average price per liter) and the car is returned without re-fuelling at the end of the rental. NOTE: Unused fuel is not refundable. The price of a full tank of fuel varies according to Group and engine size. Petrol prices can fluctuate daily, but our price will always be based on the average price per liter charged at filling stations across the island.
Deliveries and Collections
Delivery can be made to any hotel in Cyprus or to one of our offices, a fixed charge of €20.00 (within city limits) Deliveries are available between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00. Outside these hours, deliveries can only be made to one of our airport branches and an Out Of Hour's supplement of €20.00 will apply. Delivery locations outside if city limits of the nearest Europcar office are available (e.g. deliveries to Troodos region). In such cases, an Out Of Limits supplement of €20.00 will apply. At the end of the rental, vehicles should be returned to the original delivery place so that collection can be made. If the return location is different from the delivery location, a One Way supplement of €35.00 will apply.
Note for Airport collections: Please note, for any collection from either Paphos or Larnaca Airport from 1st November 2008 are subject to a €20.00 Airport Delivery Fee, which will be charged on collection of the car. Please check your booking voucher or conditions for further information about this charge.
Extra Accessories
For the benefit of families with young children, we are able to supply child-seats upon request with our cars. There are two types of child restraints available seats (for infants 6 - 36 months old) and booster seats (for children 3 - 7 years old). Child seats must be requested at the time of booking. Each seat costs €9.00 per rental day. (Maximum charge €63.00 per seat). Payment is collected locally prior to delivery of the vehicle. Please note that a maximum of 2 child seats can be fitted into any vehicle.
We do not supply child seats for infants under 6 months old.
Payment / Security Deposits
All rental charges & security deposits are payable in advance. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Any additional supplements to the normal rental price, as shown above, will be collected by one of our staff prior to delivery of the rental vehicle. All customers will receive a rental contract showing a detailed breakdown of all charges applied. Please note we do not accept Diners Card.

Traffic Fines

Unpaid fines can be pursued overseas by Cypriot authorities and may incur further penalties for the delay, plus a local administration charge from Europcar of €30.00 per penalty
Accidents
In the event of an accident, drivers must notify us the same moment of the incident taking place. Our 24-hour emergency contact is printed on the top of every rental contract and on the car key ring itself, rental stations during working hours may also assist with accident reporting. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may invalidate any / all insurance.
Cancellations / Early Returns
No refunds can be made locally for rentals ended early, late collections, for no-shows or for cancellations made after the rental start date. Please contact our Customer Service department at +357-25880222 if you require further information or assistance in this matter. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 18:00. Please note that orders cannot be canceled by email. (Law 14(I)/2000)
Settlement of disputes
For any dispute relating to this contract and so far as permitted by Cyprus law: - If the hire is an individual, the court will be chosen according to the local law - If the hire is not an individual the court will be chosen exclusively according to the place where the Owner has his registration office

Use of Winter Tyres
Under specified circumstances winter tyres will be mandatory in Germany: In case of ice, packed snow, slush, black ice or frost vehicles will only be permitted on the roads if they are equipped with winter or all-season tyres bearing the specific identifying marks. Drivers must use winter tyres or face fines. A driver found using summer tyres in wintery conditions can be fined 40 euro. If the vehicle holds up traffic the fine is doubled.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all rentals that commence in the Republic of Ireland. If you are booking a car through the .ie website for a rental in a country other than Ireland, please refer to the Terms and Conditions for that country as they are the Terms and Conditions that will apply to your rental. Please note that they may differ from the following terms for Ireland due to local legal requirements.
What is included in my rate?
Your rate is inclusive of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Waiver (TW), airport/location surcharge, vehicle licence fee, road tax, unlimited mileage and government tax. An excess will apply to CDW and TP. If you enter a different return location to the pickup location, the one-way rental fee will be included in the price displayed to you. If during the quotation process you have stated “I live in United States of America” or “I live in Canada”, the rates you will receive are exclusive of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). Your credit card may provide this coverage for you. Please see CDW Exclusive Rates for further information.

At the commencement of rental, drivers must meet the requirement for licence eligibility. If the number of years is 8, this does not mean that the driver must have held their licence for 8 years - it means they must have been eligible to hold their licence for 8 years.

Age 75 and over
Drivers aged 75 and over need to provide a PRINTED medical certificate/letter which states that they are fit to drive and a letter from their insurance company stating that they are currently driving and have not had an accident within the last 5 years. This information must be received at least 5 working days in advance of your rental.
Driving Licence:
Drivers (and additional drivers) must be in possession of a full, unendorsed driving licence which they have held for at least 2 YEARS prior to the commencement of the rental. Licences must be produced in person at the Europcar location at the time of collection. Drivers must be in possession of their licence at all times when driving the vehicle. If a driver has any endorsements on their license, they must contact our Reservations Department prior to booking as there may be restrictions on renting. Failure to inform us of endorsements will result in the driver being refused the vehicle and forfeiting any deposit taken. Licences must be from the country of permanent residence. NON-EU/EEA driving licences cannot be accepted if the holder has been resident in Ireland for more than 12 months. Holders of UK, US, Canadian, Australian and all EU member states are NOT required to supply an International Driving Permit (IDP). International Driving Permits where required, MUST BE accompanied by the original domestic licence of the driver. This is clearly stated on the international permit. An International permit presented without the domestic licence, will not be accepted.
**Attention: UK Driving Licence Holders**
From June 8th 2015, the UK paper part of your driving licence will no longer be valid. We will require all UK licence holders to present evidence of your driving record (entitlements/endorsements) before the vehicle can be released. This can be obtained by printing it out from the DVLA’s ‘Share Driving Licence’ section - click here (https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) - before you collect your vehicle. We reserve the right to ask prequalifying questions on your insurance history. You may be refused a vehicle based on the answers you provide.
Credit Cards Accepted:
Europcar accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover Cards. For all 'pre-pay online' bookings, the person in whose name the vehicle is booked MUST be the person whose credit/debit card is used. This card must be presented on arrival. If you made your booking with a debit card, you will need to present the debit card and one or more credit cards (depending on the vehicle group) when picking-up the vehicle. On collection of the vehicle, Europcar can only accept credit cards for deposit purposes. At the time of rental there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges including the excess/deductible amount. Payment must be made with a credit/debit card as we do not accept cash or the credit card from a third party. Holders of a 'Chip and Pin' card must know their PIN number. Regardless of the level of coverage purchased, ALL renters will be subject to a minimum preauthorisation on their credit card of the vehicle excess amount plus €50. This is in the event of traffic fines, toll charges etc.

The premium for Super Damage Waiver Cover (SDW) costs EUR19.50 to EUR27.00 per day depending on vehicle size (excluding commercial vans). Payment of the SDW premium reduces the excess/deductible to zero.
CDW Exclusive Rates:
Declining Europcar CDW and TW: To decline our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver (THW), the driver must have a US issued World MasterCard or Canadian issued Gold/Platinum Visa/MasterCard AND PROVIDE WRITTEN PROOF that the card has relevant coverage for the Republic of Ireland. The letter must be dated within 21 days of the pickup date and contain the credit card number (partly masked is acceptable). When both a relevant card and letter of proof are provided, for security reasons 5,000Euro will be pre-authorised on your card in case there is damage to the rental vehicle. If there is a damage charge, this amount can be claimed back through your credit card company. This process is between the driver and the credit card company. We cannot be held responsible for any exchange rate charges.
If a letter confirming CDW coverage is not provided on collection of the vehicle or if your card does not provide the relevant coverage or if you do not have 5,000Euro available on your card, you will be required to purchase our CDW and Theft Waiver at the local daily rate (Eur24-33).
Only relevant US or Canadian issued credit cards can be used to waive our CDW and THW cover – we do not accept European credit cards for coverage. If you pay for the full rental with your eligible US World MasterCard or Canadian Visa Card/MasterCard, you may be covered for up to 50,000US Dollars auto rental insurance for your rental without excess. This coverage is a service provided by US MasterCard OR Visa/MasterCard Canada to the cardholder and therefore it is the cardholder's responsibility to ensure that they are adequately covered for the entire duration of the rental period. We reserve the right to refuse third party insurance.
Relevant cards will only be accepted for coverage for a maximum of 28 days in any one calendar year. Please note that you must pay for your full rental with the eligible credit card for your card company to provide CDW and THW coverage.
**We DO NOT accept any form of CDW/PDW purchased through a third party OR Fully Comprehensive Irish Insurance Policies. **
To establish if your US MasterCard or Canadian Visa Card/MasterCard includes Auto Rental Cover in the Republic of Ireland please call your credit card issuer and/or US MasterCard/Canadian Visa Card/MasterCard before making your reservation. It is important to confirm to your credit card issuer that the Republic of Ireland as your place of rental.

Fuel Policy:
We offer two fuel options:
1. PREPAID FUEL Customers can choose our prepaid fuel option at the beginning of their rental at our special discounted rates. For the driver's convenience, there is no need to refill the car. With this option, no refunds will be given for unused fuel. Prices for this option are set locally.
2. STANDARD REFUELLING Customers can return the car as they wish. Should the car return less than full, the customer will be charged a local refuelling fee plus the standard price per litre. No compensation will be given for fuel charges if an upgrade to a larger car is given.
Flight Information:
For all rentals commencing at an airport location we ask you provide us with the correct flight number and arrival time when booking your vehicle. Flights should be scheduled to land within our opening hours. This is to ensure that if your flight is delayed, your car will be held and staff will be in place to greet you when you arrive. If this information is not available to you at the time of booking, we ask you provide us with it at least 5 days before your arrival date. Where flight information is not provided in time, or incorrect information is provided, we cannot be held responsible for a failed rental and no refund will be due.
Meet Late Arrival:
Where a flight is delayed (and we have been advised of the flight number at the time of original reservation) and the customer arrives at our desk 30 minutes or less after our closing time, no additional fee to the customer applies. If the customer arrives at our desk 30 minutes or more after our closing time, out of hours charges of €40 will apply. Please contact the branch directly for further information.
Vehicle Hold:
Vehicles will only be held for 1 hour after the booked pickup time/landing time within our opening hours if no payment information is provided at the time of reservation. Vehicles will be held until the location closes once credit card details and Driver ID are provided at the time of reservation. After this time, the vehicle may not be available.
Non prepaid reservations may be cancelled or amended up to 2 hours before the due pick up time at no extra charge to the customer. Failing to cancel the non-prepaid reservation and failure to collect the vehicle before the closing time of the reserved location station will incur a no show fee of €95 plus tax.
Maximum Length of Rental:
The maximum length of rental allowed on one booking is 35 days. For rentals of a longer duration, please make 2 reservations. Customers, who rent from us for more than 35 days in a 12 month rolling period, will be subject to the higher rate of vat at 23%. This will be recalculated locally.
Car Types:
Europcar Car Rental operates a fleet with many different makes and models of cars. Whilst every effort will be made to supply the reserved model, we reserve the right to supply a suitable alternative. Please note that we cannot guarantee a particular make or model.
Toll Information:
Drivers are responsible for the payment of their tolls (on both barriered and barrier-free toll roads) directly with the Toll Operator. Further information regarding toll rates and payment methods will be given on collection of your vehicle.
Additional Drivers:
Additional drivers can be added for a daily fee of €10.22. Additional drivers can be added on collection of the vehicle only. Please note unauthorised drivers are not covered by us and are prohibited from driving the rental car. The additional driver must be present at time of pickup and must fulfil the same age/licence criteria as the principle driver.
Baby Seats:
Baby seats are available at a cost of €6.81 per day to maximum cost of €47.67 per rental.
Booster Cushions:
Booster cushions are available at a cost of €6.81 per day to maximum cost of €47.67 per rental.
The law in Ireland states that an appropriate child restraint MUST be used.
New EU Child Safety Protection Laws have come into force making it compulsory for all children to travel in the correct child seat, booster seat or booster cushion. Where safety belts have been fitted they must be worn. Children under 3 years of age must not travel in a car unless restrained in the correct child seat. Children aged 3 years or over who are under 150cms in height and weighing less than 36 kilograms (i.e. generally children up to 11/12 years old) must use the correct child seat, booster seat or booster cushion when travelling in cars. Child car seats must be in accordance with EU or United Nations- Economic Commission for Europe (UN-ECE) standards. Drivers have a legal responsibility to ensure passengers aged under 17 use the correct seat, booster seat, booster cushion or seatbelt.
GPS Units:
Garmin Nuvi GPS units are available to rent at a cost of €12.00 per day to a maximum of €90.00 per rental. The non-return or loss of a GPS unit will be charged to the renter at a cost of €200.
Personal Benefits Membership:
PBM covers the driver for personal injuries or fatalities up to €31,750 in the event of an accident whilst in the vehicle and costs €6.81 per day. Not available on commercial vans.
Roadside Assistance:
RSA is available at a cost of €4-€6 per day and covers the driver against potential breakdown recovery costs such as use of incorrect fuel in the vehicle, assistance with the retrieval of keys locked inside a vehicle, delivery of replacement for lost keys etc. Further information will be available on collection of the vehicle. Not available on commercial vans.
Carbon Offset:
At the time of booking you can donate €3.00 which covers the cost of planting 2 trees in the Burkina Faso Desert.
Travel to Northern Ireland:
If you wish to drive in Northern Ireland, you must inform us on collection of your vehicle. There is a nominal €34.05 fee when taking a car into Northern Ireland. Cars cannot be taken off the island of Ireland at any stage and must be returned in the Republic. Failure to purchase the required cover will result in the renter accepting full responsibility for any recovery fees, should the car breakdown.
One Way Rentals:
One way rentals are permitted between branches at a cost of between €34.05 and €147.55. If you enter a different return location to the pickup location, the one way rental fee will be included in the price displayed to you. Not available on commercial vans.
Grace Period:
Drivers are allowed a one-hour period of grace provided that the vehicle is returned within our hours of operation. Drivers exceeding this will pay any extra charges directly at the local rate.
Early Returns:
We do not issue refunds for unused days nor for charges paid directly on arrival in the event of the vehicle returning earlier than booked.
Car Returns:
Cars may be returned outside our location hours by prior arrangement only. Cars that are returned outside the above location opening times will be charged for any damage or any loss incurred until the car is returned to the car rental company.
Traffic Fines:
Speeding, parking and other endorsements/fines are the responsibility of the hirer in full. Europcar Car Rental accepts no responsibility for any fine or payment. The renter is obliged to inform Europcar Car Rental of any fines or parking tickets issued whilst the vehicle is being used by the renter. Where Europcar receive a fine that was not settled when issued, the total cost of the fine, plus an administration fee of €30.00, will be charged to the main driver’s credit card.
Upgrades:
If on arrival the client feels that the car they have booked is not suitable for their requirements, we will be happy to provide a larger vehicle if available. Upgrade charges are payable on arrival at the local daily rate. If a customer is given a free upgrade on arrival, we cannot accept any customer service queries regarding fuel or coverage costs.
Customer Service:
Our Customer Service Department can deal with any issues you may have. Please send an email to customerservicesie@europcar.ie within 28 days of the termination of your rental. Europcar Ireland accepts no responsibility for delays which may occur at the start of hire due to circumstances beyond our control.

The payment of the estimated rental price and possible additional charges resulting from damages or loss of the rented vehicle must be guaranteed upon rental according to the following modalities:

Europcar requires the possession and use, as guarantee of the rental, of two credit cards of which at least one is either an Amex Gold, Platinum, or Centurion (black), or a Visa Gold or Platinum or, finally, a Mastercard Gold.
Lacking even only one of the above mentioned elements required to guarantee the rental, Europcar will not be able to provide the requested vehicle but, as an alternative, a vehicle belonging to a different category: in any case, no refund is provided for.
Prepaid rates do not comprehend any additional charge which is not expressly considered as included in the Europcar booking confirmation of prepaid rental and do not comprehend any additional service for which the customer might be responsible. At the time of the pick-up of the vehicle, the same valid credit card used in the booking phase and registered in the name of the main driver shall be presented as guarantee for any additional expense anticipated and not covered by the sum deposited as prepaid. After your rent:
In the case of additional eligible costs, such as speeding or congestion charges, the tenant will try to contact the client when the competent authorities ask for the identity of the driver. Such a process could occur several months after the lease and will involve the payment of the administrative fee company in addition to the original amount for a penalty.
Important: To facilitate comparisons between different companies, we have standardized the names of these fees. Keep in mind that the names used by your rental company may be different.

A copy of the UK T&Cs will be attached to your confirmation email (if you are booking online or via our Reservation Centres) or, if you haven’t pre-booked online or by phone, you will receive a copy when you collect your vehicle or when it is delivered to you (whichever applies). The T&Cs should be read in conjunction with the supplementary information that is provided below in this UK specific website.
If you are booking a car through the UK website for a rental in a different country please refer to the terms and conditions of hire in the country where you are heading because it is those terms that will apply to your rental. They will be different to the UK T&Cs and the supplementary information provided below due to local legal requirements.

Holders of the old style UK paper licence must also provide a Share Driving Licence passcode together with an additional form of photographic ID which can be a Full Valid Passport, an Armed Forces ID Card or a Police Warrant Card. No other form of identification will be accepted.
Non UK driving licence holders must provide:
· a full and valid driving licence which has been held for a minimum of 12 months. It must be clearly identifiable as a driving licence; entitle the licence holder to drive the category of vehicle they wish to rent from us and valid for use in the UK. If these conditions cannot be met then an International Driving Permit1 will be required (as well as your home driving licence);
and
· the following additional documentation: (i) Passport; and (ii) proof of entry into /exit out of the UK (e-tickets acceptable) 2.
1 If a Chinese driving licence is not accompanied by an International Driving Permit then we can accept a notary translation instead If your home country doesn’t issue International Driving Permits then a Letter of Endorsement issued by your home country Embassy or Consulate is acceptable.
2 Please note that section 2.3.3 of the T&Cs states that non-UK driving licence holders will be required to provide a second and additional ID document that shows their home address (eg., a utility bill). This is no longer required.
Additional Driver:
A car or van may be driven by other persons provided we give our consent and they meet the qualifications set out in section 2 (Who can rent and who can drive?) of the T&Cs. All drivers must meet our standard qualifications as set out in the T&Cs and provide a current Share Driving Licence passcode. A daily charge for each additional driver during the rental period may be levied. You will be advised of the cost for this during the booking process.
Cancellation, Modification, Refund and No Show Policy:
This relates to situations where you may wish to cancel or modify your rental. Our policy for this is described under section 16 (What if I want to cancel or modify my booking?) of the T&Cs
Deposits:
In addition to the cost of the daily rental charge you will be required to leave a security deposit. This is explained in more detail under sections 9.1 (What are the other fees/charges that I may have to pay?) and 19 (Must I pay a deposit before picking up the vehicle?) of the T&Cs.

Delivery & Collection -
‘Deliver & Collect’ is our nationwide delivery and collection service that is available for cars, vans and our Selection range of cars. For a small fee and for your convenience we will Deliver to and/or Collect a vehicle from your home or your place of work or a hotel (although there are some geographical restrictions).
Deliver & Collect is provided subject to the following conditions:
· Payment for the full cost of the hire must be made at the time of booking
· Deliver & Collect must be booked at the same time as you make your booking and you must provide an accurate contact number.
· Cost for Deliver & Collect:
· Up to 10 miles from Europcar Branch: £5 (each way)
· Over 10 miles from Europcar Branch: £5 + £1.50/mile thereafter (each way)
· Deliver & Collect is available:
· Monday to Friday 9-6pm
· Saturday 9-1pm.
· Sunday not available.
Deliver:
· Minimum booking notice
· Cars: 2 working hours for home address and 24 working hours for business address.
· Selection vehicles and vans: 48 working hours.
· All bookings will be confirmed by the Europcar Branch and we will Deliver the vehicle within 1 hour of the time that was agreed when you made your booking.You must ensure you are available to accept delivery of the vehicle and to sign the Rental Agreement.
· If we Deliver to
· Your home address: the address must be the same as both the payment card you used to make the booking and your driving licence and you must be available to accept delivery of the vehicle and to sign the Rental Agreement.
· Your business address or an hotel: then you must give us 24 working hours notice and we will require proof of your home address (as above), and either proof of your employment at the premises or your status as a guest (at the hotel) at the time of delivery and you must be available to accept delivery of the vehicle and to sign the Rental Agreement.
If you are unable to provide us with the required information then we may refuse to leave the vehicle or we may ask you to complete the transaction at the Europcar Branch.
Collect
· We will Collect a vehicle from a home address or a business or an hotel address.
· You must be available to inspect the vehicle with us and to sign the collection paperwork when we come to Collect the vehicle
· If we Collect a vehicle from an address that is different to the Deliver address then a one-way charge may be incurred. The cost of the one-way charge will depend on the distance between the Collect address and the original hire Europcar Branch. You will be notified of this one-way charge during the booking process.
Fuel
· A vehicle from your chosen vehicle group will leave the local Europcar Branch with a full tank of fuel.
· You are responsible for the fuel we use to Deliver and the fuel we use to Collect.
· Unless you have taken the Full Tank Option you are responsible for leaving the vehicle with a full tank of fuel on collection. If you don’t then we will charge you for fuel used to top up the fuel tank when we have returned it to the Europcar Branch (so will include the fuel used by us when we Collect of the vehicle) in line with our refuelling policy.
· If your collection point is within 5 miles of the local Europcar Branch, you will not be charged for any fuel used. Outside of this 5 mile radius you will be charged in line with our refuelling policy for all fuel used by us when we Collect the vehicle.
· You can find full details of the refuelling policy under section 18 (‘What is the Fuel Policy?’) of the T&Cs
· We reserve the right to suspend, cancel or amend our Deliver & Collect service at any time without giving prior notice.
· We reserve the right not to Deliver a car if you fail to comply with any of these conditions.
One-Way Rentals within the UK:
One-way hires are permitted between all Europcar Branches. One-way hire fees vary but apply to all one-way hires. The fees are included in the price quoted during the booking process (if you booked online or by phone through our reservation centres) or it can be provided by the Europcar Branch where you picked up your vehicle.
Baby and Child Seats
It is the law in the UK that all children under three years old must use an appropriate child restraint ("baby seat") when travelling in any vehicle and that all children aged three or more years old and up to 135cm (approx 4ft 5in) in height must use an appropriate child restraint ("booster seat") when travelling in a vehicle.
· You, as the driver, are responsible for ensuring that children under 14 years travelling in the vehicle use either a seat belt and/or the appropriate child restraint. .The penalty for offenders is a £30 fixed penalty notice or a maximum fine of £500 if a case goes to court.
· You may hire a baby seat and/or a booster seat at the daily rate set out in the Tariff Guide attached to the T&Cs. Please ask for details at your local Europcar Branch, or alternatively you can add this product to your booking via the 'add extras' button when selecting your vehicle.
Please note that whilst we can supply these seats we won't be able to fit the seat for your child. This is always your responsibility.
Travelling abroad:
Subject to certain restrictions a limited selection of our cars and vans may travel outside of the UK provided that:
· the vehicle will enter only the countries listed below;
· you have our prior consent; and
· you are carrying a valid VE103B 3 form.
A Green Card is not necessary.
You must contact your Europcar Branch before travelling to ensure your vehicle is not subject to any restrictions and to obtain the relevant consent. Please note that without the correct documentation, you could be turned back from the border or may be subject to, and liable for, a considerable charge.
The charge set out in the Tariff Guide attached to the T&Cs will be made for our Europdrive Pack 4 and is payable by all customers that we agree may take their rental vehicle for travel to or in any of the following countries :
- Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Please note that no other countries are permitted travel areas for our rental vehicles
3 A VE103B form is the ONLY valid document giving owner’s permission to take a vehicle outside of mainland UK and acts as a duplicate of the Vehicle Registration Document. No letters or other documents should be used. The VE103B form is provided by the Europcar Branch at time of pick up or later by arrangement.
4 Europdrive Pack: Provides cover to ensure that both you and the car or van can be recovered in the event of the car or van becoming un-drivable as the result of an accident or through mechanical failure. You are responsible for ensuring the Vehicle has the correct equipment to comply with local driving regulations in the country you will be driving the Vehicle through or within
Tax:
All prices include VAT unless we tell you otherwise.
Verifying Your Identity

Fuel Option:
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at start of the hire period. The rules that apply to fuelling and refuelling vehicles in the UK are set out in section 18 (What is the fuel policy?) of the T&Cs.
Lost Property:
Any property placed in the car or van is at your own risk and we take no responsibility for it. Please refer to section 11 (What will happen when I return the vehicle?) of the T&Cs for full details of our policy in regard to loss or damage to any personal belongings.
Fines & Charges
You are liable for the payment of all charges, fees & costs arising from any congestion charge, bus lane penalties, speeding fines, road traffic offence, or parking offence involving the vehicle, including costs from the vehicle being clamped, seized or towed away & any charges/costs (or failure to pay) of the appropriate organisation if & when they ask for these payments together with our administration fee.
Please familiarise yourself with sections 9.3.1 (‘Charges and Fees relating to Fines and Penalties’) and 21.2.4 (‘Use of Personal Information’) of the T&Cs for further information.

Whether you call us or write to us we’ll aim to respond to your complaint within 10 working days of receiving your communication. If we can’t respond in these timescales, we’ll tell you why and let you know when we aim to come back to you.
Animal Policy:
We do not allow any animals other than Assistance Dogs to be transported in our vehicles.
If you are travelling with an Assistance Dog we draw to your attention that we do not supply dog guards or any other form of animal restraint for our vehicles and you are therefore responsible at all times for the behaviour and well-being of your dog. This responsibility includes ensuring that the dog is suitably restrained at all times so that it remains safe; it does not distract the driver or cause risk or injury to you or any other passengers sharing the vehicle with you.
Please Note that we do not under any circumstances accept liability for damage suffered by the vehicle or for injury caused to the dog or to you or the driver or to any passengers as a result of your failure to keep the dog appropriately restrained and/or controlled.
In addition you are required to return the vehicle to us in the same condition as it was at the start of the Hire Period (fair wear and tear excepted). If it is returned to us in a dirty or messy and/or damaged condition to the extent that it will require specialist cleaning and/or repair before it can be rented to the next customer then you will be liable for the special cleaning/valet charge described in the Tariff Guide attached to the standard terms and conditions of hire (T&Cs).
Additional Driver :
Additional authorized operators can be added, for an additional charge, at the time of rental or at any rental location. The primary renter and each Additional Authorized Operator must be present to sign the rental agreement and must meet normal rental qualifications, such as showing a valid driver license, and meeting all age requirements.
Age:
Age 21-24 (18 yrs. old in NY State) – May use Credit or Debit Card and meet all payment policies. Underage Charge will apply.

Cancellation:
CREDIT CARD REQUIRED RESERVATIONS
Certain sites require a Credit Card to Guarantee the reservation. If this should occur, you are subject to a one days rental charge for reservations not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
PREPAID CANCELLATION POLICY
When you select a Pay Now option, the following will apply. Reservations will be honored for the entire day in which the rental is scheduled to be picked up. A cancellation fee will apply to prepaid reservations that are cancelled. The cancellation fee will be $50.
CDW:
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is not insurance. It eliminates the renter and/or any authorized drivers from financial responsibility if the vehicle is involved in an accident. If the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement are violated, CDW is void and the renter is fully responsible for all costs associated with the incident. If you decline CDW, you are responsible up to the full market value of the vehicle. CDW does not cover any third party`s or unauthorized driver’s. Theft, glass, tires, acts of God, and fees associated with the collection of the damages are not covered. Any incidents must be reported to local Police and a case number provided. Failure to do so will void CDW. CDW does not have a deductible. CDW cannot be purchased by underage renters, local renters, or those paying up front with debit cards. These renters must provide proof of full coverage insurance to rent a vehicle.
AFTERMARKET ACCESSORIES
Installation of any aftermarket accessories to a rental vehicle is prohibited and immediately voids CDW. This includes, but not limited to, snow chains and trailer hitches.
OTHER INSURANCE/CREDIT CARD COVERAGE
Online travel sites and Credit Cards offer their own version of CDW and/or Liability Coverage. If you choose to select one of these products, please bring confirmation or proof of coverage to show at the counter. Purchase of these products does not relieve you from primary responsibility of damage to the vehicle or any liability incurred. Any valid claims that are refused by the Insurance carrier will be your responsibility.
DECLINING COVERAGE
The renter will be solely responsible for the vehicle itself and any third party claims made against it. Please check with your insurance agent for more information regarding your policy coverage.
Drivers license:
Each Renter and Additional Driver must present a valid Driver`s License. The Driver`s License may not expire during the Term of the Rental.
International Renters must present an acceptable valid Driver License issued from your country of residence. The License must be valid for the entire rental period. If the License is in a language other than English, a certified English Translation or International Driver permit is strongly recommended. In all cases, a valid Driver License issued from your home country must be provided, whether or not you possess an International Driver Permit. You will not be allowed to rent with only an International Driver Permit.
US Residents are not entitled to Inclusive Rate Packages. Customers presenting a US State Issued Driver’s License will be required to pay rates in effect at time of rental. No Insurance Products will be included, customer is fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle unless they purchase CDW.
Equipment:
Child Seats Infant (CSI) -The infant seats are for infants from 5 to 20 pounds up to 26 inches long. The renter will be provided with the manufacturers installation instructions at the counter so he/she can correctly install the seat. Infant seats are available for back seat use only.
Child Seat Toddler (CST) -Toddler seats are for children weighing from 20 to 40 pounds up to 40 inches tall. The renter will be provided with the manufacturers installation instructions at the counter so he/she can correctly install the seat. Toddler seats are available for back seat use only.
Hand Control Right (HCR) /Hand Control Left (HCL) - Available at no additional cost. Must be reserved through the pick up location with 10 days advance notice. If advance notice is not given, equipment may be unavailable. Renters must bring their own parking permit as Advantage/EZ does not provide handicapped ID cards or car stickers. Advantage/EZ is able to provide hand controls on a variety of our rental cars. We will make every effort to provide our physically disabled customers with the vehicle of their choice.
Ski Rack/Snow Tires (SKV) - Ski equipped vehicles are available at select locations. This includes mud/all weather tires and ski racks. **CHAINS ARE NOT AVAILABLE**
GPS Travel Tablet (MTECH) - Portable GPS Plus systems are available at many locations.
Gas:
Three refueling options are available to meet your needs.
1) FUEL NOW - you may purchase a tank of gas at the time of rental and return the vehicle with as little gas as you like. Please be aware that we are unable to issue a refund for unused fuel. However, this method eliminates the need for you to refuel the tank prior to returning.
2) FUEL LATER - You can let us refuel for you. You pay for the fuel required to replace the fuel you used and for the service and convenience of refueling the tank.
3) SELF SERVE -You refuel the tank yourself immediately prior to returning the vehicle. Pricing for each option varies and is available at the rental counter.
Insurance:
OTHER INSURANCE/CREDIT CARD COVERAGE
Several online travel sites and Credit Cards offer their own version of CDW and/or Liability Coverage. If you choose to select one of these products, please bring confirmation or proof of coverage to show at the counter. Please note that purchase of these products does not relieve you from primary responsibility of damage to the vehicle or any liability incurred. Any valid claims that are refused by the Insurance carrier will be your responsibility.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) coverage is available in combination with Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) for an additional daily charge for each rental day. PAI coverage: Benefit Schedule Renter/Each Passenger Accidental Death USD 250,000.00 / USD 100,000.00 Accidental Medical Expenses (reimbursed) not to exceed USD 2,500.00 Ambulance Expenses not to exceed USD 500.00. Total benefits for any one accident are limited to USD 458,000.00 and are payable in addition to any other coverage for which you, authorized drivers or your passengers are eligible. However, your benefits provided by other coverage may be affected by the PAI benefits. If this coverage is accepted, the benefits for you apply to all accidental injuries during your rental period, regardless of whether you are actually in the car.Your passengers are also covered, but only for incidents occurring while they occupy the Advantage rental car.
Personal Effects Coverage (PEC) offered in combination with PAI, is an option that insures against risk of theft or damage to help protect your personal belongings while renting from Advantage. The maximum coverage per person is USD 750.00 with the maximum total benefit for any one occurrence, regardless of the number of persons, being USD 2,000.00. There is no deductible for PEC.
PAI and PEC are not available separately and must be taken in combination.
Some exclusions and coverage conditions will apply. Please see counter agent and brochure for terms and conditions of the above products.
Local renters:
Local Renters are defined as living within a 65 mile radius of the renting location.
Local Renters without a return airline ticket and wish to rent a car will be required to show: written proof of a current automobile comprehensive, collision and liability insurance policy in renters name covering injury to third persons or property. Renters traveling on official government business, on military leave, or with an approved CID number are exempt from the local renter policy. Failure to show an acceptable policy will result in the rental being declined.
LOCAL RENTER MILEAGE EXCLUSION
Local Renters are subject to a maximum mileage limit of 150 free miles per day. A mile charge of $0.55 will be added to any additional miles.
LOCAL RENTER DEPOSIT
Local Renters are subject to a $350 deposit in addition of estimated amount of rental charges.
LOCAL RENTER VEHICLE EXCLUSIONS
Local Renters are limited to renting the following car classes sizes Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard, Full size, Minivan, Premium Vans
One-way:
A Drop Fee is assessed for renting a vehicle at one of our rental locations and returning it to a different rental location. The cost of this fee varies depending on the renting and returning location.
Other:
PET POLICY
Pets are allowed to ride in the vehicles with no additional fees. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by the pet, and to avoid cleaning charges, vehicles should be returned clean and free of pet hair. Renters with service animals will not be subject to any additional deposits.
Payment:
The following forms of payment are accepted: most major credit/charge cards, and most debit cards. Cash is an acceptable form of payment at time of return at most locations, not at time of rental. Acceptable charge cards include American Express / MasterCard /Discover / Visa / BankAmericard / Optima Amex. Credit cards must have the available credit for the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $200 in order to secure the rental. Debit/check cards must have the available funds of the estimated amount of rental charges plus up to $350 in order to secure the rental. Eligible debit cards must have Visa, MasterCard or Discover logo. Stored value/prepaid/gift cards are not acceptable to qualify for rental however these cards may be used for payment at return.
Please note that at the time of rental you will need to present 1) a current driver license and 2) a valid credit or charge card in the renters name. Use of a debit card to rent a vehicle is subject to review of your credit history at the time of your rental. 3) Customers presenting international driver’s license or expatriates (foreigners living in the United States) must provide international airline tickets. If international airline tickets are not available, customer must use a credit card (Note: A confirmation of your reservation does not mean that your debit/check card is acceptable).
Debit cards should not be used to pay for Pay Now reservations.
NOTE: Refunds of your deposit or any other funds owed to you are posted upon close of your contract when you return the vehicle. However, depending on your financial institution, can take up to 21 days to process.
Smoking:
-SMOKING POLICY- We provide and implement a no smoking policy for all vehicles in the fleet. If the Vehicle is returned smelling of smoke from any source, you will be charged a smoke cleaning fee of up to $250 to remove the smoke odor.
Toll roads and fees:
E-Z Toll
Renters can opt into the E-Z TOLL program which allows for quick by-pass of unmanned and manned toll booths. A Daily Fee which includes the price of the tolls will be charged. E-Z TOLL must be accepted at the time of pickup and be applied for the entire length of the rental. If E-Z TOLL is not accepted and a toll violation occurs on the rental, an admin fee will apply.
Other Violations
If E-Z TOLL is not accepted and in the case of other traffic and vehicle violations (besides tolls), the following applies. The renter is liable for payment for all traffic and vehicle violations plus an administrative fee per violation. These violations include but are not limited to: all toll fines (including the use of all cashless toll roads without the purchase of E-Z TOLL) parking violations, traffic fines, moving violations and any other violation captured by camera or by ticket. The renter acknowledges that each violation amount will be charged to the credit card or billing account. The renter also acknowledges that a separate administrative fee per violation will be charged to the credit card or billing account.
Traveling to Canada:
Advantage/EZvehicles may be driven into Canada. They do not require presentation of liability protection letters, certificates or stickers at customs. A passport is now required to enter Canada. Canadian customs and excise regulations prohibit Canadian residents from driving United States rental vehicles in Canada and returning to the United States.
Traveling to Mexico:
Advantage/EZ vehicles may not be driven into Mexico.

Traffic fines:

But Shouqi can NOT guarantee that credit cards are workable, it depends on the rules of your credit card issuer.
C. Shouqi will confirm whether customer had traffic violation or not within 30 (Thirty) working days from the date of car returned.
If customer has no traffic violation during rental period, Shouqi will apply for refund pre-authorization/deposit within 3 (Three) working days and send bank receipt to customer email.
Due to the banking process, customer will receive payment within 30 (Thirty) working days from the date that refund was done.
D. Once customer had traffic violation, the related fees will be deducted from the pre-authorization/deposit which are : Below 6 points (excludes 6 points): 200 CNY, More than 6 points (less than 12 points): 500 CNY and More than 12 points (includes 12 points): 20,000 CNY.
E. All customers need to prepare a bank card or credit card which could receive CNY for deposit refund. If the bank card or credit card which are provided by customer, can not receive CNY, customer shall bear the tax and handling fee that occurred of the refunding.

A.Customers are required to fill the leased vehicle with correct fuel according to the fuel label of the vehicle. All losses (including but not limited to damage to the vehicle) caused by the non-conformity of the fuel filled by customer, shall be borne by the customer.

If the fuel tank is not full when the customer returns the car, the customer shall pay the price difference of refueling according to local fuel price and pay extra refuel service fee at 100 CNY/order .
2)If the fuel tank is NOT full when customer pick up: If fuel quantity of return is MORE than the fuel quantity of pick up, Shouqi will refund fuel price difference to customer according to local fuel price, the price difference will be deducted from total rental fee. When the fuel quantity of return is LESS than the fuel quantity of pick up, Shouqi will charge the customer fuel price difference according to local fuel price. The system will automatically calculate the corresponding amount and add it into the rent settlement.
3)No refuel service fee if tank is not full when pick up.
Insurances:
A.In China, there are no separated CDW/THW/LDW. The insurance Shouqi could provide, is Automobile Mandatory Insurance which is an integrated insurance and included in the rate.

Foreign customers need to send scanned copy of China Mainland Driving License, the personal information page and China visa page of passport to Shouqi customer service mailbox (zuoying@izuche.com and callcenter@izuche.com) SEVEN days before scheduled pickup time. Security Department of Shouqi and Public Security Organs will verify the identity information of customer. The customer's Chinese mainland driving license and passport must be valid for more than 2 months of the actual rental period. After the public security department confirms and verifies the foreign customers’ information, the foreign customers can pick up the car at local station. LDW - Loss and Damage Waiver est la combinaison de CDW et THW. La LDW couvre tous les dommages partiels ou totaux au véhicule et le vol total. Par conséquent, le vol partiel, les dommages dus à des phénomènes météorologiques, les dommages causés par le vandalisme, les émeutes, les grèves, les coups d'État ou tout autre mouvement politique ou social ne sont pas couverts par cette assurance. En cas de dommage ou de vol, le client n'est responsable que du paiement de la franchise/excédent d'environ 20 % de la valeur totale du véhicule. L'assurance LDW est proposée à 30 USD par jour, plus les taxes et frais applicables, pour tous les types de véhicules. Elle est généralement souscrite par les clients qui ne sont pas couverts par leur carte de crédit ou leur assurance tierce partie en cas de dommages ou de perte de leur véhicule. Les clients couverts par une carte de crédit ou une assurance de tiers doivent fournir un document de leur compagnie d'assurance avec un numéro de téléphone et/ou une adresse électronique vérifiables pour confirmation. Le document doit indiquer expressément que l'assurance de la carte de crédit comprend une clause d'exonération en cas de perte ou de dommage. Le SPLDW coûte 30 USD par jour, plus les taxes et frais applicables, et n'est disponible que pour les clients qui ont déjà le TPL et le LDW inclus dans leur tarif ou qui ont ajouté ces couvertures au comptoir. La couverture susmentionnée ne s'applique que si le client respecte strictement les clauses du contrat de location, ce qui signifie que toute violation du contrat annule la protection et que le client assume alors l'entière responsabilité de tous les dommages subis. Les vitres, les roues, les pneus et les jantes, ainsi que les accessoires volés ne sont pas couverts.
PAI : L'assurance accident personnelle couvre les frais médicaux encourus à la suite de blessures subies et/ou une indemnité forfaitaire si vous êtes invalide ou si vous décédez à la suite d'une collision (ou d'un accident) dans le véhicule loué. Cette assurance couvre jusqu'à 120 000 MXP et coûte 10 USD par jour plus les taxes et frais applicables dans tous les types de voitures.
WWI : La protection des vitres et des pneus est disponible au prix de 20 USD par jour, plus les taxes et les frais applicables, pour tous les types de véhicules. Une franchise de 20 % sera facturée par événement.
RSA : Le service d'assistance routière d'urgence est facultatif et fournit des services supplémentaires à l'assistance routière standard qui est incluse dans tous les tarifs. Full Coverage CDW - THW - TPL Protection Collision Damage, Vehicle Theft and Third Party Partial Insurance
It is a protection which the client is exempted from all monetary liability in case of accident, damage, total theft or total loss of the vehicle, as a result of any accident occurred to the same, provided that the vehicle is used within the terms and conditions of the rental contract. Includes basic coverage for third party liability up to USD $ 5,000.00*
This protection covers damages caused by broken rims, emergency rims, hoops, windscreens, radios, speakers. Neither the theft of parts nor components of the engine is covered. At the time of withdrawing the vehicle, a hold is made on the customer's credit card.
Loss of car keys, car documents and license plates are NOT covered. Report immediately to the offices about the damage or accident occurred otherwise all damages will be charged.

Complementary Insurance – CDW-THW-TPL-PAI
In the event of an accident, this package contemplates only payment for one half the deductible of the CDW/THW coverage as a result of a collision, theft, overturning, and total loss of the vehicle.
It contemplates protection in case of personal accidents (PAI) and double coverage in relationship with CDW in case of damage to third parties. The minimum age required to contract this package is 26 years of age for the main driver
Report immediately to the offices about the damage or accident occurred otherwise all damages will be charged. The loss of profit due to the impairment of the vehicle will be calculated using the agreed rental price.
This protection does not cover damage from broken tires, rims and windshield. It does not cover the loss of accessories such as tires, emergency tire, rims, radio, speakers, headrest, and mirrors, among others. The theft of parts or engine components is not covered either. CDW-THW-TPL - Basic Coverage Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Waiver and Third Party Liability w/Excess
By taking this mandatory protection, you will reduce your liability in case of damage to the vehicle due to collision and you are partially exempt from monetary responsibility in case of theft or attempted theft of the vehicle, you will only assume the deductible, provided that the vehicle is used within the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and the incident is duly reported to Europcar Peru.
Theft of parts or engine components is NOT covered.
This protection does not cover loss of keys, documents, license plates, or crane services.

Without prejudice to what is stated in the previous point, the client will also lose the protections, if they incur one or more of the points set out below:
a) Damage to the engine for having made it work in unfit operating conditions.
b) Damage to the engine due to ignoring warnings of malfunction or caution, in the dashboard of the vehicle (eg water, oil).
c) Damage caused to objects transported by the vehicle and / or damage they cause.
d) For driving the vehicle negligently or recklessly such as: crossing unpaved roads, crossing rivers, lakes or other aquatic areas in which the operation or integrity of the vehicle is compromised.
e) Driving the vehicle in conditions not suitable for operation.
f) For driving the vehicle out of Peruvian territory.
g) For breaching the current traffic regulations in Peru.
h) Damage caused by insurrection or rebellion, strikes, road blockades and demonstrations.

In case of not complying with the terms and conditions of the rental contract (for example: if the vehicle is misused or driven recklessly or under the influence of alcohol or drugs or does not inform Europcar Peru within 02 hours of the accident occurred, among others.), the client will lose all type of protection that he has contracted and will be responsible for the total cost of the repair and / or replacement of the vehicle. None of the protections described above cover traffic fines, loss of personal items, lost profits, or judicial or extrajudicial costs, the cost of which will be the total responsibility of the client. When the client rents a vehicle in Europcar Peru, he is responsible for returning the vehicle in the same conditions in which it was delivered.
The protections offered are additional to the rent, except in rates that have them included. If the client declines them, they will be responsible for the total value of the vehicle. The following conditions are essential for the coverage to be valid:
a) Report the accident immediately to Europcar Perú.
b) Report the accident immediately to the Traffic Police.
c) Submit to Europcar Perú the Police Complaint, Breathalyzer Test (made up to 02 hours after the incident occurred) and Police Damage Report that does not show:
1. Alcohol intoxication / Drunk state
2. Excess speed
3. Collision against fixed objects.
4. Violation of the contract or any violation of traffic regulations or national laws.
d) Submit to Europcar Perú copy of ID or foreigner's license and driver's license.

Unauthorised drivers are prohibited from driving the rental car. Protection Packages shall not cover any Unauthorized Driver/s.
The additional driver must be present at time of pickup and must fulfil the same age and licence criteria as the principal driver.

The minimum age is 25 and maximum age is 60 for all vehicle class.
A Young Driver Fee will apply for each driver between the ages of 21 and 24 at ₱ 500.00 per day, including tax.
A Senior Driver Fee will apply for each driver aged 61 to 75 at ₱ 500.00 per day, including tax. Driver over 75 is not allowed to drive.

For all 'pre-pay online' bookings, the person in whose name the vehicle is booked MUST be the person whose credit/debit card is used. This card must be presented on arrival. If you made your booking with a debit card, you will need to present the debit card and one or more credit cards (depending on the vehicle class) when picking-up the vehicle. At the time of rental there must be sufficient credit on your card to cover all charges including the excess/deductible amount.
In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver's name, we may refuse to release the vehicle. You are required to leave a security deposit via credit card. The deposit will be returned after the rental, as long as all conditions have been met. Due to fluctuating foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges, we cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded.
Delivery / Collection:
Delivery and Collection Service is available within the City Limits. Out of Town Delivery is not available. Delivery & Collect fees: Up to 10 kilometer from EUROPCAR station: ₱ 2,000 and Over 10 kilometer from EUROPCAR station: ₱ 2,000 + ₱ 100 per kilometer. Deliver and Collect is ON REQUEST.
Deliver and Collect service is a pre-paid service. You must pay 24 hours in advance all rental charges and security deposits. Booking will be confirmed to you once payment has been made. Deliver and Collect is available Monday to Sunday 0800H-1700H. Delivery will be made within a 1 hour time-slot agreed at the time of booking and collection within a 2 hour time-slot based on your selected time. All locations of Deliver and Collect service are subject for approval of EUROPCAR. We reserve the right to refuse the Deliver and Collect service if the location’s route and areas may affect the safety and security to the vehicle, its driver and/or Rental Sales Officer and other parties. The vehicle will be delivered at full tank of fuel and will be collected from you at full tank of fuel also. You are not responsible for the fuel used for delivery and collection. If we deliver to your home address, then you must give us 48 working hours’ notice and we will require proof of your home address, the address must be the same as both the payment card used to make the booking and driving license and you must be available to accept delivery of the vehicle and to sign the Rental Agreement. If we deliver to your business address or hotel, then you must give us 48 working hours’ notice and we will require proof of your employment at the premises (at the company) or your status as a guest (at the hotel) at the time of delivery and you must be available to accept delivery of the vehicle and to sign the Rental Agreement. If you are unable to provide us with the required information then we may refuse to leave the vehicle or we may ask you to complete the transaction at the our stations. We reserve the right to suspend, cancel or amend Deliver and Collect service at any time without giving prior notice

Driving licence and ID Requirement:
Foreign driver must have a driver's license written in English in order to drive in the Philippines or an International Driving Permit (IDP). An International Driving Permit (IDP) is valid only when accompanied with renters local driver’s license. A Foreign driver’s license is valid for a maximum of 90 days from the date of arrival in the Philippines. If foreign driver has no International Driving Permit (IDO) or his driver license is not written in English, foreign driver needs to get official translation at consulate/embassy.
All forms of documentation must be issued to the same person, in the same name, and presented together at the time of rental. All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 2 years. Additional ID's may be required.
Two (2) Philippines Government National I.D.'s are require for locals in absence of Passport.
Passport is mandatory for foreign renters.
Fuel:
Fuel Policy is full tank to full tank. Any tanks that are not full at the time of rental end shall be calculated accordingly with a 10% refueling fee.
In any case that incorrect fuel is loaded in the tank (i.e. diesel to gas tank; or gas to diesel tank), you will be responsible for all the expenses incurred for draining the tank and repair of any damages to the vehicle or costs to restore it to the condition in which it was released.
Insurances:
Europcar offers Protection Packages such as Basic Protection, Medium and Premium. Your rate is inclusive of Basic Protection also known as Basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Basic Theft Waiver (THW). Basic Protection limits your liability up to excess amount. If during the quotation process you have stated “I live in United States of America” or “I live in Canada”, the rates you will receive are exclusive of Basic Protection ( Basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Basic Theft Waiver (THW) ). For US and CANADA Resident, you may already be covered of Basic Protections so we did not include it in the rental price. Please bring proof of your basic protections and USA or CANADA Residency to the rental stations. If you do need a basic protections you can purchase it to us and avoid paying for damage to your vehicle with no additional out of pocket expense & no increase to your personal policy due to an incident. Medium Protection reduces your financial liability in case of damage to the vehicle as a result of collision, theft or attempted theft. It also protects you in the event of damage to the windscreen, headlights or tires. Premium Protections waives your financial liability (Zero Excess) in case of damage to the vehicle, windscreen, mirrors, headlights and/or tyres as a result of collision, theft or attempted theft of the rented vehicle.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
By purchasing Medium or Premium Protection, you are also covered by Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) - Medical and Death benefits for bodily injury resulting from vehicle accident. Your are covered of accidental death benefits up to ₱ 200,000.00 per person based on your vehicle seating capacity and medical/hospital reimbursement up to ₱ 20,000.00 per person based on your vehicle seating capacity.
Compulsory Third Party Liability (CTPL)
By purchasing any Europcar Protection Package, your rented vehicle is covered of compulsory third party liability insurance. You are covered up to ₱100,000.00 Third Party Death Claim Accident, Excess Third Party Bodily Injury up to ₱450,000 medical / hospital reimbursement per accident, and Property Damage up to ₱ 500,000.00 per accident.

One-way rentals:
1) Domestic: Domestic One way rentals are permitted between SELECT STATIONS ONLY. The cost is between ₱ 2,000.00 and ₱ 5,000.00. If you enter a different return location to the pickup location, the one way rental fee will be included in the price displayed to you. The rental station must be advised of one-way rentals at the time of reservation or the start of the rental. In case the vehicle is returned in an unauthorised location, you will be charged a penalty amounting to ₱ 50,000.00
2) International: International One Way is not available in the Philippines.

Request Pick-up: Our pick-up service is available during normal business hours. To schedule your pick up time or make additional arrangements, please email or call our local rental station directly. Once picked up and back at the station, a friendly rental representative will complete your paper work and have you on the road in no time. Restriction of use:
Inter-Island Trip: No Inter-Island Trip is allowed & the vehicle is not allowed to be driven outside the Philippines. It is not allowed to travels to areas where roads are not passable for cars or vans, especially flooded and lahar areas; and to inter-island trips; or shipment of vehicle via ferry or airplane. In the event you violated this condition, it may invalidate any insurance coverages and you shall pay for a penalty amounting to ₱ 50,000.00 and the vehicle is subject for repossession.
Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program: Metro Manila and other areas such as Baguio City, Cabanatuan, Cavite and Dagupan implements the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or Number Coding Scheme. It is strictly imposed in most cities in the areas from 7AM until 7PM wherein vehicles with plates ending with a particular digit is banned on the road on given days (1 or 2 Mondays, 3 or 4 Tuesdays, 5 or 6 Wednesdays, 7 or 8 Thursdays, 9 or 0 Fridays). In case you will request for a number coding vehicle replacement, you must arrange it during the pick-up of the vehicle. For more information about the number coding and vehicle replacement arrangement, please contact us directly at reservations@europcar.com.ph.
Use of Winter Tyres:
Not applicable in the Philippines.
Specific note:
When and where applicable, Local Laws and Regulations shall supersede any and all arrangements made for reservations with Europcar Philippines, Europcar in the renter's home/originating country or any of its authorized bookers.
If any reservations have been prepaid (in part or in full), Europcar Philippines shall not be liable to refund or reimburse any unused portion of the paid rental. You must claim any refunds directly with the booking party or website where you have made reservation and payment.

General Information: The Europcar Philippines Standard (Retail) Terms and Condition together with the supplementary information that is contained in these Philippines specific website terms will apply to all rentals that start in the Philippines. Basic Rental :
The Renter undertakes that if he makes incorrect information at the time of the rent, the Lessor shall have the right to consider the car stolen and to notify the security authorities;
The minimum daily rent shall be one day (24 hours);
The value of the delay hours shall be calculated from the time specified for the return of the car - up to a maximum of four hours, according to the following equation: (daily rental value × number of delay hours / 24 × 2 = cost of delay hours;
Delay in part of the hour is considered as delay for a full hour;
The term of the contract may be renewed after the consent of the lessor and the Renter, provided that the necessary procedures are specified in the contract;
The permitted distance per day is 200 km, and the distance beyond this limit shall be calculated as described in the contract;
In case of delayed delivery of the car for more than (24) hours from the specified date, the company is entitled to notify the concerned authorities to take the necessary procedures and the company is entitled in case of violation of the terms of this contract to withdraw the car through the competent authorities.
Early return
If the passenger returns the car before the agreed rental period for any reason, he will not be entitled to refund for the unused days .

Fuel:

Insurances:
The Lessor shall provide comprehensive insurance that covers the liability of the accident in respect of the third party in addition to the rented car, its driver and passengers in return for the amount paid by the Renter according to the category of the rented car (as shown at beginning of the contract) according to the following terms and conditions:
a) The Renter must be at least 21 years of age and not more than 70 years;
b) The Renter shall comply with the conditions of the insurance companies according to the laws of SA
c) The contract shall be valid at the time of the accident;
d) The Renter shall notify the lessor and the security authorities immediately after exposure to accident or the discovery of theft, providing them with all the information they request and obtain a traffic report or from the relevant police stations;
e) Insurance does not cover accidents in some cases and therefore the Renter bears full responsibility of third parties and / or for the rent company. The cases not covered by the insurance are:
- If the driver is drunk or taking drugs;
- If the driver is not authorized under the contract to drive the car (non-driver).
- The accident occurrence after the expiration of the contract term and / or any renewal thereof;
- Use the car for purpose not rented to;
- In the case of theft of the car because of the negligence of the Renter or stolen by the operating mode;
- If the accident occurred outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and
- If the lessor is not provided with a report from the traffic, Najm or police.

Restriction of use:
The Renter undertakes not to use the car in the following cases:
- by persons not authorized under the contract under to drive the care;
- If the car needs repair or regular maintenance;
- If the operating the car causes damage to the engine or one of its components;
- If the driver authorized under the contract is unable to drive the car as if he is If he is drunk or taking drugs or suffers from a health reason that beats him from driving properly;
- Transport of persons or goods to gain money;
- Participation in motor racing;
- Push or withdrawal of other cars;
- Use the car on rough or unpaved roads and / or not suitable to drive the car;
- Use the car in negligence and indifference way;
- Tow trailer without the consent of the lessor;
