Additional driver
Having an additional driver (or drivers) for your van rental car can massively ease the pressure on your main driver, making your house move or long drive a lot more enjoyable. Also, if you need to drive a long journey to move or transport bulky items, not needing to stop for as many breaks means you will reach your destination safely and twice as fast.
Rental van excess insurance
Depending on your needs, Europcar proposes different van rental insurance packages, from reduced excess to no excess at all. The following plans are available in the UK, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal:
Basic Protection This basic level of protection is mandatory and already included in rental rates in the UK, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal. This will protect you against theft or attempted theft of vehicle and damage caused by collision.
Medium Protection On top of protection against theft and damage caused by collision, this will cover you for damage to windshield, mirrors, headlights and tires, as well as personal injury to both drivers and passengers (except in the UK).
Premium Car Rental Protection This is the highest level of insurance protection we propose and can only be booked for drivers over the age of 26 years old. It covers everything mentioned in Medium Protection, but personal belongings are also covered (except in the UK).
